Silent Meditation & Yoga Retreats

Silence The Mind / Open The Heart

Our Silent Meditation & Yoga Retreats are located just 20 minutes from downtown Asheville at the Prama Institute.

From the moment you arrive, you will feel a sense of peace and calm that our center is famous for.

Our experienced facilitators will guide you through the basics of silent meditation & yoga philosophy and give the ample time to explore these practices on your own.  These retreats are open for beginners with no experience in meditation and also those with years of experience who want to deepen their practice.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

MEDITATION

Meditation is a the foundation of this program and plenty of time is given to explore your practice.  We offer a number of techniques to help participants to enjoy the time in silence.  If you already have an established practice, participants are encouraged to use the techniques they are familiar with.  This retreat strives to provide a supportive space for individuals with all types of experience and practices.

YOGA

Yoga classes are an important tool in relaxing the body and promoting deeper meditation.  Prama has assembled some of Asheville’s finest yoga teachers to lead the yoga classes during the retreat.  We understand that sitting for long periods can be difficult and hard to adjust with.  That is why we have daily yoga classes (Twice on Saturday!!!) to balance the sitting with stretch and movement.

INSTRUCTION

We understand that a lot of our participants have little meditation experience.  Our experienced and qualified facilitators will guide you through the basics of silent meditation.  In addition to basic instructions in breath and posture, we also offer guided instruction in the use of mantra and ideation.

DELICIOUS CUSINE

No retreat would be complete without great food, and at our Silent Meditation & Yoga retreat we have that covered.  Prama is well known for it’s delicious vegetarian cuisine.  Our team of chefs are also ready to accommodate almost any dietary restriction.  Are you vegan, gluten free or something else?  No problem, we have you covered.  Just let us know in advance.
