According to Dr. Valter Longo, the world’s foremost expert on longevity, the digestive system needs periodic rest in order to reboot the immune system. In this program, you will learn how you can do that at home with simple lifestyle changes.
Since 70 percent of the immune system is in the digestive system, a strong digestion equals a strong immune system. But stress and a bad diet--the two main culprits in compromising the digestive system—can easily make us susceptible to disease.
In this educational workshop, you will learn how to improve digestion with certain super-foods and herbs as well as by reducing stress with yoga and a simple mindfulness and concentration technique.

Ramesh is the Director of the Prama Wellness Center where lifestyle is considered our best medicine. Ramesh is also a writer, yogi and workshop leader. He studied yoga therapy in Nepal and India, Ayurveda at California College of Ayurveda and is a certified yoga detox theraphist from the AM Wellness Center in Cebu, Philippines. He has taught workshops in many countries and is the author of four books, including Sacred Body, Sacred Spirit (InnerWorld) and Tantra: The Yoga of Love and Awakening (Hay House India).
Radhika Banu Bjonnes
Radhika (500-RYT) is an experienced and dedicated yoga and meditation teacher, aroma-therapist, and a practitioner of various creative movement arts. She has been practicing yoga and meditation daily since 2001. In addition, Radhika holds a 60 hour certification and a 400 hour Diploma in Rajadhiraja Yoga from AMYA, a state certified yoga school in Singapore, a 100 hour certification in Yin Yoga led by Victor Chng, and a 100 hour certification in yoga for pregnancy, birth and baby. She has also completed modules in pre- and post-natal yoga and yoga for active birth.
Prama Institute reserves the right to cancel a ‘Prama Institute Organized’ program at any time. If the Prama Institute cancels a program, you will be given a minimum of 1 weeks notice and receive a full refund. Cancellations by Prama Insitute can be transferred to other Prama organized programs.
Refunds are available (less a $10 processing fee) up to 10 days before the start date of the program. If a cancellation occurs between 10 and 2 days before the start date of the program, your fee can be transferred to any other Prama organized program within one year. No credits or refunds are available for cancellations two days or less before the start date of a program, or for no-shows, or for leaving an event early. People cancelling 10 days or less before the start of a program can also transfer their space and fee to an unregistered participant. Please allow seven days for processing of fees. Refunds will be issued by check.
