Ramesh Bjonnes

Ramesh is the Director of the Prama Wellness Center where lifestyle is considered our best medicine. Ramesh is also a writer, yogi and workshop leader. He studied yoga therapy in Nepal and India, Ayurveda at California College of Ayurveda and is a certified yoga detox theraphist from the AM Wellness Center in Cebu, Philippines. He has taught workshops in many countries and is the author of four books, including Sacred Body, Sacred Spirit (InnerWorld) and Tantra: The Yoga of Love and Awakening (Hay House India).

Dr. Sid Jordan

Sid has combined a career as a licensed clinical psychologist and yoga teacher since 1971. As a clinical psychologist, he taught psychotherapy and community psychology in the Department of Psychiatry and served as director of the Mental Health, Alcohol and Drug Services in a community center at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC over a period of 25 years. Since 1994, he has been developing a green intentional community north of Asheville on 140 acres of land.

Online workshop, on Saturday April 4th and April 11th (Lunch Break from 12.00-2.00 PM)  With Dr. Sid Jordan and Ramesh Bjonnes of the Prama Wellness Center  In these days of the COVID-19 pandemic, we hear the same message from MDs as well as natural health practitioners: Now is the time to prioritize preventive health, both physically and mentally.  In this one-day online program, we at the Prama Wellness Center will share some effective tools to help strengthen our physical and psychological immune systems so that we can build resiliency in dealing with the stress and uncertainty we now are facing.  To participate in this seminar, you will simply download Zoom for free on your computer and once you register, you will be sent a link and can join the seminar by following a few easy instructions.  This online seminar will cover the following topics:  Tools to strengthen our physical immune system  with Ramesh Bjonnes, Director of the Prama Wellness Center Now is definitely not the time to burn the candle at both ends. Rather, now is the time to do our workouts, eat a nutrient dense diet, take preventive herbs and vitamins as well as practice yoga and meditation. Tools for Psychological Immunity during the Coronavirus Crisis  with Dr. Sid Jordan, Psychologist and Co-founder of the Prama Institute  This workshop will focus on the social support and stress management we all need during this crisis. Practicing “distant socializing” can ameliorate the social isolation induced by “social distancing”. In times of crisis, our efforts to observe sound physical care guidelines and strengthen social ties can be deepened during this social lock down.
