Join vegan celebrity chef, Laura Theodore, AKA the "Jazzy Vegetarian," and the Prama Wellness Center staff for an amazing weekend of learning, laughing, singing, tasting, and relaxing.  This retreat will be November 2-4, just in time to get you inspired for the holiday season.  Imagine spending an autumn weekend in the Blue Ridge Mountains at a gorgeous retreat center.  Imagine enjoying a retreat that includes cooking classes from a vegan celebrity chef, a jazz concert, yoga, meditation, workshops on a plant-based diet, and delicious food all weekend.  Meet Laura in person, see her demonstrate some of her best recipes, and have all of your questions answered.

You may come because you are curious about a plant based diet, and you want to add a few new recipes to your Thanksgiving table.  Maybe you are having a vegan guest that you would like to cater to.  Are you a long time vegan or vegetarian looking for new flare in your recipes?.  Are you hoping for some healthy inspiration at the beginning of the holiday season?  Whether you are a interested in a plant based diet and would like to know more, or you are a long time vegan craving the company of like-minded people, we have a little something for everyone.

FACULTY

Laura Theodore

Laura Theodore is a recognized public television personality, vegan chef, radio host, cookbook author, and recording artist. Laura is the on-camera host of the highly successful, award-winning Jazzy Vegetarian vegan cooking series on public television (entering into its seventh season). She is co-owner of the Jazzy Vegetarian Vegan Café, a popular plant-based eatery, located in Hendersonville, North Carolina. Ms. Theodore is author of four vegan cookbooks, including Laura Theodore's Vegan-Ease, Jazzy Vegetarian’s Deliciously Vegan, Jazzy Vegetarian Classics and Jazzy Vegetarian. In addition, Laura is recipient of the Taste Award for Best Health and Fitness Program (Food and Diet), and recently inducted into the Taste Hall of Fame.

Ramesh Bjonnes

Ramesh is the Director of the Prama Wellness Center where lifestyle is considered our best medicine. Ramesh is also a writer, yogi and workshop leader. He studied yoga therapy in Nepal and India, Ayurveda at California College of Ayurveda and is a certified yoga detox theraphist from the AM Wellness Center in Cebu, Philippines. He has taught workshops in many countries and is the author of four books, including Sacred Body, Sacred Spirit (InnerWorld) and Tantra: The Yoga of Love and Awakening (Hay House India).

Dr. Sid Jordan

Sid has combined a career as a licensed clinical psychologist and yoga teacher since 1971. As a clinical psychologist, he taught psychotherapy and community psychology in the Department of Psychiatry and served as director of the Mental Health, Alcohol and Drug Services in a community center at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC over a period of 25 years. Since 1994, he has been developing a green intentional community north of Asheville on 140 acres of land.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Prama Wellness Center reserves the right to cancel a ‘Prama Wellness Center Organized’ program at any time.  If the Prama Wellness Center cancels a program, you will be given a  minimum of 1 weeks notice and receive a full refund.  Cancellations by Prama Wellness Center can be transferred to other Prama organized programs.

Refunds are available (less a $50 processing fee) up to fourteen days before the start date of the program.  If a cancellation occurs between fourteen and two days before the start date of the program, your fee can be transferred to any other Prama organized program (less a $50 cancellation fee) within one year.  No credits or refunds are available for cancellations two days or less before the start date of a program, or for no-shows, or for leaving an event early.  People cancelling 14 days or less before the start of a program can also transfer their space and fee to an unregistered participant.  Please allow seven days for processing of fees.   Refunds will be issued by check.

Event Tickets are non-refundable.
