Meditate With Prama Every Wednesday! • FREE EVENT

This Week’s Theme:  “The JOY of Meditation”

The world defines joy as the intense happiness we feel when we satisfy a great desire.  C S Lewis defines Joy as “that wonderful Stab of Longing…. leaving a wake of mystery and longing behind it.” (a continuing desire for Infinite Limitlessness) We will consider how meditation helps us to choose this sense of joy.  Opening your heart to “Joy” is a choice we can make. The first step may be choosing to watch less bad news.  A second step could be choosing to take a walk in nature and finding a spot to meditate.  You could create a space in your home to meditate by paying attention to your breath and a positive mantra to quiet the chatter of our minds.  With disciplined daily persistence meditation gives us a chance to open our hearts to the joy of peace of mind and a deeper awareness of the awe and wonder of being alive.   This sustained effort provokes a longing to know more of who we truly and universally are.
